Popis:	A new high-yield synthesis of mixed anhydrides of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid with sulphonic acids is described. The intramolecular thermal decomposition of these anhydrides when treated with solutions of nitrosylsulphuric acid in sulphuric acid may be assumed to proceed via pentamethyleneketen which has been recently postulated to be an intermediate in the SNIA Viscosa process for preparing Iµ-caprolactam.
