Popis: | Mineral 15W40 motor oil shows experimentally higher viscosity in micron interlayers compared to the absolute viscosity value. These features are attributed to the structural inhomogeneity of oil interlayers: the arrangement of surface quasiliquid crystalline layers on their limiting substrates. These interlayers and layers are modeled with a friction triad for study using the rheological method. The effect of temperature on the characteristics of the surface layers, particularly their thickness and the degree of molecular orderliness, is estimated from the established difference between the viscosity and temperature dependences of the oil in the micron interlayers and in the volume. |
