My findings highlight the inherent complexity of organization design and the importance of contextualizing past organization theory in light of digital innovation today. My results indicate that different configurations specific and more likely lead to greater success in the output variables of innovation quantity, speed, and costs. Therefore, I contribute to the research stream for both organization design and innovation management and provide clear guidance for managers on allocating resources and giving transparency to different options for organizing for digital innovation. |
