Popis: | The aim of this scoping review is to identify current firearm legislations and their impact on the rates of suicide, femicide (intentionally killing a woman or girl on account of their gender), homicide, and mass shootings in Canada and internationally. We will also identify factors that have improved or hindered the uptake of Canadian and international firearm legislation. The key questions (KQ) guiding this scoping review are: KQ1a) What Canadian and International firearm legislations have been evaluated for their impact on suicide, femicide, homicide, and mass shooting rates in Canada and internationally? KQ1b) What has been the impact of Canadian and International firearms legislation on rates of death by suicide, femicide, homicide, and mass shootings? KQ2) What factors have improved or hindered the uptake of Canadian and international firearm legislation? |
