Popis: | The Army has embarked on its transformation venture. The goal is to provide an agile, but lethal force that is capable of rapid deployment to any area of the world where America's interests are threatened. The metamorphosis that began with the Army Chief of Staff's vision will make the Revolution in Military Affairs a true revolution. Army Transformation will revolutionize the fundamental organizational structure and equipment, as well as warfighting doctrine. However, the transformed Army (including active and reserve components) will create new and different demands on the infrastructures that support power projection, training, maintenance, force protection, and quality of life. Those demands must be anticipated and posts, camps, and stations developed to support those needs. A transformed sustaining base is necessary in order to support a transformed Army. |
