Popis: | In the present study the momentum transfer rates by using single pentagonal plate as turbulent promoter in circular conduit. The present study contains momentum transfer rates increases or decreases with effect of different type’s parameters at side of the plate as 0.023 m, plate thickness 0.06 m, distance of the plate from the entrance of the test section (h) 0.18 m, offered maximum augmentation. A maximum augmentation of 3.94 folds is observed over smooth tube flow. Friction factor value shows similar behaviour with that of momentum transfer. Friction factor values are found to decrease with velocity. Correlations developed based on semi theoretical considerations. Wall similarity concept is applied for the present case. |
