Popis: The purpose of this paper is to analyze the performance of ethical responsibility in the field of family intervention. First of all, with the intention to emphasize only those aspects that will be relevant to addressing the ethical issues involved, the paper exposes briefly the double scope of family intervention: the scope of generic measures of family support and the scope of the care and protection of the child in situations of social risk. Secondly, it sets out what I believe are the constituent features of the ethics of family intervention. On the one hand, it is pointed out that it is the social mandate which configures the identity and ethics of professional practice. On the other hand, it emphasizes the need to differentiate between ethical, moral and legal standards in addressing the problems and dilemmas of the social intervention. With this in mind, I suggest a series of relevant issues in the ethics of family intervention. Family intervention involves the exercise of powers with great impact on the lives of people. Thus, it is essential that institutions and professionals recognize those issues and include them in their professional development programs along with the creation of critical thinking on the ethics of the attention to the infancy, family and adolescence.
