Popis:	Bioadhesives Used in Cardiovascular Surgery The use of surgical adjuncts allowing the reinforcement of the tissues and the performance of safe sutures and repairs become a mandatory approach. Two different kinds of adjunct emerged: polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) felt bands and pledgets and on the other hand, surgical adhesives. The aim of the paper is to describe the advantages and the disadvantages of the available surgical adhesives considered most useful in major cardiovascular surgery.
