A preliminary study of certain morphometric parameters of Bicuspid valve was undertaken in aborted fetuses of weeks to full term to provide a database that will be of help to cardiac surgeons to rule out abnormal measurements AV circumference frontal and sagittal dimensions width of anterior cusp and AV circumference increased significantly in males Width of posterior cusp increased significantly in both sexes A correlation coefficient of all fetal bicuspid parameters positively correlated with each other Bicuspid valve dimensions provide new information about its normal and abnormal function that will be of use in valve replacement surgeries |
