Popis: | The extraction of TcO4-, UO22+, and iodine species onto a solid resin (XAD-7) impregnated with trihexyltetradecylphopsphonium chloride (Cyphos IL 101) has been investigated. Radiotracer experiments indicate that pertechnetate and iodine species can be separated from hexavalent actinides from aqueous media at moderately low acidities, and that pertechnetate and iodine can be stripped at very low or very high nitric acid concentrations. Chloride leaching experiments suggest that the solid impregnated resin behaves as an ion exchange resin. |
