Popis: | To better understand radiochemical reactions in the process of tritium recovery from the in-vessel components of future deuterium–tritium fusion machines like international thermonuclear experimental reactor (ITER), reactions in a N2-balanced system of tritium oxides (T2O and possible T2O2) with carbon monoxide (CO) were examined by laser Raman, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and mass spectrometry. The main products after the reactions were completed at 290 K are carbon dioxide (CO2) and tritiated water (T2O). Tritiated acids as found in T2–CO system were not detected in the reactions between T2O/T2O2 and CO at the same detection limit. |
