Popis:	Formation characteristics are predicted using an advanced computational mathematical method and using hydrocarbon-gas and drilling data as input. Robust predictions of porosity and saturation are made in vertical and horizontal wells, in clastic and carbonate reservoirs. The potential of the technology to augment and complement wireline and LWD technology is identified and applications where these conventional data are unavailable are considered.
