Preparation, single crystal growth and characterization of bis(tetrabutylammonium)bis(4,5-dithiolato-1,3-dithiole-2-thione)copper

Popis: The preparation and single crystal growth of bis(tetrabutylammonium)bis(4,5-dithiolato-1,3-dithiole-2-thione)copper, (I), are described. The energy gap Eg of (I) is about 2.38 eV. The nonlinear optical susceptibility χ(3) is about 1.3×10-3 esu at 1064 nm. The characterization of (I) has been performed by electronic absorption, infrared and X-ray powder diffraction spectroscopy. The thermal behavior of (I) has been investigated by means of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) measurements in air. (© 2007 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
