Octahydronaphthoquinolizines, a new biologically active tetracyclic ring system

Popis: Unsubstituted and methoxy-substituted octahydronaphthoquinolizines, examples of new tetracyclic ring system, have been synthesized in three steps from corresponding 2-tetralones. The various diastereomers of each OHNQ have been separated and characterized by X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy. These compounds have been shown to have activity at selected neurorecepter binding sites.
