Popis: | In this communication, kinetics of hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) were examined at palladium-modified carbon fibre (CF) 12 K tow material. This modification was carried-out by means of a physical vapour deposition (PVD) method. The HER was investigated at room temperature, in 0.1 M NaOH solution by means of a.c. impedance spectroscopy for cathodic overpotential range: −0.1 to −0.6 V vs. RHE. Corresponding values of charge-transfer resistance, exchange current density for the HER and other electrochemical parameters for examined catalyst samples were obtained. The presence of a catalytic additive was disclosed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM)/EDX analyses. |
