Popis:	Carcinoma of the prostate is primarily a disease of old age, rarely occurring before the age of 50 but with increasing frequency with advancing age (1,2). In general this malignancy has a slow growth rate and as a result, the more aggresive and radical therapy, which would be justifiable in younger patients and in other diseases, has to be balanced against the potential improvement in both quality and quantity of life (3).
