Popis: This chapter is a summary of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF’s) 2017 report describing its human capital index for 130 countries. The WEF human capital index was constructed from four equally weighted components: capacity, deployment, development, and know-how. The subcomponents detailed results for up to five relevant age groups, with population weights for the age groups. The 21 indicators of these components depended upon statistics available from international agencies and others, as well as information from LinkedIn membership listings and a WEF Executive Opinion Survey. Rankings were given by individual countries as well as for regions of the world. In addition, this summary describes human capital measures available in two other WEF reports: The Global Competitiveness Report 2019 and the Global Gender Gap Report 2020 (see World Economic Forum, 2019 . The Global Human Competitiveness Report 2019. http://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_TheGlobalCompetitivenessReport2019.pdf ; World Economic Forum, 2020 .
