Popis: The present work deals with sliding mode observer design for discrete-time systems subject to delayed output. The gain of the designed observer is obtained using Lyapunov-Krasovskii approach. Stability conditions, dependent on delay, are established in terms of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). Numerical simulations on a timely communication vehicles model are illustrated to show the efficiency of the designed observer in the presence of time-varying delay.
