Popis: | The rotational and translational diffusion of a spin probe in isotropic and orientated polypropylene is investigated. It is shown that when a free radical probe is introduced into the polymer after it has been stretched, the main factors affecting its translational diffusion are geometrical hindrances which increase in the course of orientation. On the other hand, when the radical is introduced before stretching, both geometric hindrances and the mobility of amorphous regions in which it finds itself on recrystallization exert an effect. |
