Popis: | The activities of organic solvent extracts and volatile oil of Eugenia uniflora L. on smooth muscle were investigated using the isolated rat duodenum. Only the ethyl acetate extract of the leaf yielded higher contractile responses than the reference drug (acetylcholine). The contractile activity demonstrated by the leaf extracts was absent in the oil. |
