The aims of the current study are: 1) to establish the factor structures of the Autism-spectrum Quotient (AQ) and Broad Autism Phenotype Questionnaire (BAPQ) in a large sample of university students, 2) to determine if these structures are invariant across sex, 3) to investigate whether sex has an effect on the relationship between factor scores and questionnaire scores, 4) to determine whether sex differences exist between males and females on each score, and 5) to explore the sex ratio of participants that pass the threshold for an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis. |
