Popis: | Lissencephaly is a malformation of cortical development associated with deficient neuronal migration and abnormal formation of gyri. The natural course includes developmental delay, mental retardation, epileptic seizures, and microcephaly. Early diagnosis of lissencephaly is very important to give couples reproductive choices. Cranial ultrasonography is often used for the initial evaluation of intracranial abnormalities in fetuses and infants, and we believe that it is a safe and cost-efficient alternative to MRI and CT in many cases. This study combines a case of lissencephaly in our hospital and related literature review, to explore the clinical manifestations, epileptic seizures and ultrasonographic features of the disease, in order to improve the understanding of the disease. |
