Variability in information from a single venapuncture in healthy volunteers: Analysis of the haemostatic variables fibrinogen, Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor (PAI) activity and histidine-rich glycoprotein (HRG)

Popis:	We investigated over a period of half a year the longitudinal stability of 3 haemostatic variables in 20 healthy volunteers. It was found that individual plasma concentrations of fibrinogen and HRG are quite stable. However, the longitudinal fluctuation in PAI activity is high, indicating that in investigations a single venapuncture does not accurately inform us about the individual PAI activity level.
