Popis: | Reducing the discharge of carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrous oxides (NOx) from the cement production process is a continual requirement for many cement manufacturers and often involves very expensive end-of-pipe pollution abatement solutions. The injection of highly reactive hot oxygen (O2) is a new approach to lowering emission requirements or complementing underperforming existing solutions. This article discusses an innovative O2 lancing technology that cement manufacturers install in the outlet of the kiln or calciner to remove primarily CO from the system. |
