Popis: Mono-, di- and tri-stage methods of copolycondensation of mixtures of m-phenylenediamine and diaminoanthraquinones with isophthaloyl chloride have been studied. The fraction of bound chromophore diamine and the molecular mass of the copolyamides formed have been shown to be determined by both the basicity of the initial diaminoanthraquinones and the method chosen for copolycondensation. From studies of the physicomechanical, thermomechanical and spectral-luminescent characteristics of the coloured copolyamides, it has been concluded that the introduction of chromophore groups into the polyamide chain in concentrations of 0·5 to 1·0% does not practically affect its submolecular structure. Absorption and luminescence spectra have been investigated of solutions and films of polymetaphenyleneisophthalamide with fragments of diaminoanthraquinones in the chain, as well as those of aminobenzoylamine derivatives and dibenzoylamine derivatives simulating chromophore links in the polymer chain. The arrangement of the chromophore groups in the macromolecules has been established from a comparative analysis of the spectral and luminescence properties of these materials. Photochemical transformations of molecular and aggregate forms of diaminoanthraquinones and model compounds have been studied. Conclusions have been drawn about the nature of the light-protecting effect of the 1,5-diaminoanthraquinone fragments introduced into polyamide chains.
