Popis:	The most distressing consequence of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) is the loss of fertility. As the average age at which women are giving birth continues to rise, more women will develop POI before having had a child. There are many causes of POI, but in the majority of cases the cause is unknown and there is as yet no reliable way of predicting the age of menopause or those at risk of POI.
