Popis: | Northern Tunisia is characterized by a semi-arid climate with an irregular and high spatial variability of rainfall. It is considered one of the least water-endowed countries in the Mediterranean. The dam’s capacity is continuously decreasing due to the silting up of reservoirs. To cope with this water scarcity context, the government has adopted a rigorous water policy that has lead to the development of the valuable hydraulic infrastructure in Tunisia. |
