In this work, analysis of LFC in two-area interconnected non-reheat thermal power system with PID controllers optimized gravitational search algorithm is highlighted. The disturbance of 0.01 pu is injected in control area-1, area-2 separately and also simultaneously in both areas. System dynamic performances in terms of settling time, peak overshoot, and undershoot with PID controller are compared with those of PI controller to depict the supremacy of the present work. Different system parameters in the range of (±25% to ± 50%) have been considered to analyze the effectiveness. |
