| Popis: | This paper presents the system and architecture of Satellite-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (S-DMB) in Korea. TU Media Corp., the S-DMB service company, now delivers 21 video channels, 16 audio channels including premium channels to subscribers in Korea. This service provides a high quality of reception with full coverage for the Korean peninsular at travelling speeds of over 300 km/h. A testbed system has been developed to prove the viability of the satellite–mobile convergence services. In this paper, the S-DMB system and testbed system are described.
