Numerical Study on 3D Acoustic Field Generated by Eccentric Sources in Borehole

Popis: To investigate the principle of two new logging tools, Circumferential Acoustic Device (CAD) and Sector Bond Tool (SBT), the real axis integration is used to study the 3 dimensional acoustic field generated by a source close to the borehole wall. Waveforms produced from a pulse source with the center frequency of 85 kHz at different positions on the wall are calculated and analyzed. The waveforms are composed of direct wave, reflected wave, longitudinal wave, transverse wave and interface wave. This 3Dfield without the axis symmetry is more complicated than that of a source on the well axis.
