Popis: The most probable challenges faced during construction are handling manpower Bunch, demanding Client, intense competition, fulfilling order books, etc, which consumes time. One of the time-consuming job at a construction site is tying of binding wires in rebars. In this paper, an alternative to binding wires is proposed which provides easiness of tying without compromising the strength parameters. Binding strips are developed from NYLON-66 and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) for desired dimensions to tie rebars of varying diameter. The proposed binding strips will be economical in terms of tying time, cost, and as a material for construction. Also, the binding strips have special features to strengthen the bond between rebars and concrete. The strips are tested for their tensile strength, wear resistance, thermal & chemical resistance, Impact & Bond strength and the results obtained have been discussed. The results have proved that the binding strips can be an efficient alternative to binding wires.
