Acetylide complexes of diamagnetic gallium(III) and paramagnetic iron(III) porphyrins

Popis: Five-coordinate {(TPP)Ga III (Cœ3CR)} complexes (TPP is the dianion of tetraphenylporphyrin; A is n-Pr or Ph) and {(TTP)Fe III (Cœ3CR)} (TPP is the dianion of tetrakis(p-tolyl)porphyrin); A=n-Pr or Ph) have been obtained by the reaction of {(P)M III Cl} (M=Ga or Fe, P=porphyrin dianion) with the appropriate lithium acetylide. Red blocks of {(TPP)Ga III (Cœ3CPr n )) (C 49 H 35 GaN 4 ) crystallize in the orthorbombic space group Pna2 1 .
