We analize the diffraction peak in the differential cross section on pp and pp elastic scattering by means of a novel analytical parametrization for the scattering amplitude, which is consequence of the Principles of Analyticity and Crossing Symmetry. The energy dependence of the amplitude is based on empirical results, providing a model independent predictive formalism. From simultaneous fits to pp and pp elastic scattering data in the region 19–63 GeV (center‐of‐mass energy), we present the predictions for the diffraction peak on pp scattering at the RHIC energies. |
