Popis: | In Operations Management, different approaches to make a company successful are applied. Which practices are part of which approaches is not always clear. This work is devoted to a particular comparison between two specific approaches, Lean and Supply Chain Management (SCM). The comparison is presented as an example of the relation between two sets of practices and is also interesting in itself. Starting from the concepts and practices included in Lean and SCM according to the literature, the common practices are obtained. Lean Supply Chain is also taken into account. A critical point in common between Lean and SCM, Value Stream Management, is also highlighted. |
