Popis: Several surface treatments are developed to improve the properties and increase the success rate of titanium implants, among these treatments can be performed coatings with materials such as calcium phosphates and hydroxyapatite. However, the adhesion strength of the coating to the implant is essential, and it is important to investigate ways to improve this adhesion. There are reports that this adhesion may be influenced by roughness, however this is not yet clear, and there are studies that do not observe this influence. Thus, this systematic review aims to evaluate the adhesion of hydroxyapatite coatings on titanium implant surfaces and its alloys, seeking an answer to the following question "What is the influence of surface roughness on the adhesion of hydroxyapatite coatings?".
