Popis: Some research on threat suggest that people tend to adopt different coping strategies depending on weather they perceive their behaviors could or not reduce the threat. The aim of this research is to specifically test the effect of threat controlability on the attentional narrowing using a spatial cueing paradigm (conceptualized by Folk & Remington, 1998). Our aim hypothesis is that when people believe that the can cope the threat directly, the contingent attentional capture could be higher than when people believe that they can't directly cope to the threat.
