A compact of a reconfigurable fork shaped microstrip slot patch antenna of operating frequencies 2.45 GHz is proposed for Bluetooth applications. It has one port excited with microstrip line feed mechanism. By adjusting the length of slot the resonance frequencies can be varied, thus achieving frequency reconfigurable. A comprehensive parametric study has been carried out to understand the effects of various dimensional parameters of slot and to optimize the performance of the antenna. This antenna is capable to achieve return loss less than −10dB and VSWR≤2 in multiband frequencies at 2.45GHz and 3.23 GHz. In the designed antenna substrate is ROGER 4350. The proposed antenna is very promising for various modern communication applications. By using these features, a miniaturized sample of the antenna with an area reduction of about 67% is designed and presented with respect to the my reference paper(1,),(7). The measured results show the acceptable radiation characteristics. |
