Popis: | Information on the composition and sensitivity of glass dosimeters, the operation of which is based on the change in optical density caused by irradiation, is reviewed. The principal dosimetric characteristics of the Soviet ψ dosimeter SGD-8 and the ψ neutron dosimeter L-15 (based on sodium- and lithium-silicate glasses with nickel additives) are described; these enable doses from a few tens of roentgens to a million roentgens to be determined. |
