Popis: | Teachers in all disciplines strive to maximize time-on-tasks to enhance their students' learning. The purpose of this study was to compare the amount of time-on-task of children with behavior disorders during participation in a creative educational dance (CED) program with the time-on-task during participation in a small group gross motor (GM) activity program. The subjects, two males and one female, aged 8 to 11 years, were residents of a treatment home for children with behavior disorders located in southeastern U.S. A single subject, multi-treatment research design, was used. Baseline sessions consisted of the subjects' physical activity program provided by the resident staff. Intervention 1 consisted of CED and intervention 2 consisted of a GM activity program, both implemented by the first investigator.
