Popis: A knowledge-based FMS scheduling system and its flexible approaches to the dynamic scheduling are introduced in this paper. Flexible algorithm and flexible routing control are combined to create a feasible schedule in both off-line and on-line cases. Integrated with heuristic knowledge, this approach increases the chances of getting optimal or good schedule in limited time, and makes the real-time rescheduling possible.
