Popis: In Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectral imaging spatially distributed spectra of 2D surfaces are registered simultaneously using FTIR spectrometers equipped with array detectors. Scanning methods such as near-field FTIR spectroscopy are a promising alternative providing both, higher spatial resolution, and sensitivity. However, serial recording severely limits their imaging application due to long acquisition times involved and the resulting stability issues. In this work we demonstrate different strategies to compress the FTIR measurement already at the data acquisition stage to significantly reduce the measurement time. Corresponding reconstruction schemes and their hardware implementation will be discussed.
