Popis: The semiosphere of the miracle is a space of production and reproduction of meaning where the aesthetics of the impossible breaks with everyday life, the Mexican votive offering as a testimony contains a large number of themes, ranging from the sacred to the profane, from the drama to the ‘chusco’. The narrative that is painted in each painting can be analyzed as a staging, as a complex performance that is designed through a dialogue between the subject who was benefited by the miracle, and the artist subject who with his brush eternalizes the moment, offering to our gaze a sea of symbols exalted in a level of sacred reality. The objective of this article is to show how, through the creation of models that integrate transdisciplinary and complex analytic categories, we can rethink Mexican popular art in a novel way.
