| Popis: | London Archaeologist, 10 (8), 204-213 A watching brief in 2001 at the site of the old Cottage Hospital at 85--105 Rochester Road, Carshalton, revealed fragmentary building remains probably originating in the fourteenth century, with substantial extensions in the eighteenth century. The site was the location of a large mansion house demolished in 1822. The article details the documentary, cartographic and pictorial evidence before describing the archaeological evidence. |
