This paper describes Passage+, a multimedia information presentation system for smartphones. The Passage+ gives one's path planning and route choice more diversities by displaying CG virtual objects, movies and images on the smartphone display. This work is achieved by using an Augmented Reality based on image recognition and GPS. Passage+ is an attempt to promote new discoveries by presenting alternative paths and entertaining routes. We adapted Passage+ to ACMMM's navigation system at Nara park, and collaborated with museums and cultural facilities nearby during the conference. |
