Popis: Ow interest in teachers' perceptions of preassessment was sparked by calls for educational reform. It appears that the two, preassessment and educational reform, have many issues in common that have not heretofore been discussed. The purpose of this article is to discuss the: commonalities between these two issues, provide an overview of the importance of preassessment, and outline a model for effective preassessment.
