Popis: | Torsion‐pendulum measurements were carried out with a variously sintered PVC powder of two different DOP‐plasticizer concentrations. Aluminum foils were used as substrates for supporting the fragile specimens in the torsion pendulum. Based on a recently developed analysis, storage and loss shear moduli of the sintered powders were calculated from the experimental torsional rigidities of the laminated test specimens for a wide range of porosities and temperatures. The unrelaxed (glassy) shear modulus correlated well with density. After accounting theoretically for the porosity effect on the modulus, the latter was used for characterizing the internal cohesion of the material as it varies with the degree of sinter. |
