Popis: | Acute generalized exanthematous pustolosis (AGEP) is a severe cutaneous drug eruption, characterized by acute, nonfollicular sterile pustoles on a background of edematous erytema. The clinical presentation is inconstant and polymorphous, with difficult differential diagnosis with other severe generalized skin eruptions. A 70-year-old man developed a generalized exfoliative dermatite due to treatment with hidroxychloroquine for polyarthralgia. Histopathologic examination of a skin biopsy allowed a diagnosis of AGEP. Cyclosporin A treatment induced rapid resolution of the dermatosis. The relationship between AGEP and drug-induced generalized pustular psoriasi is matter of debate, due to the observed occurrence of AGEP in patient with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis.
