Popis: Since the earlier times of colonization, Latin America was underrated as a subordinate continent in the epistemology of Western civilization. Multicultural, mystical wisdom and law systems of the ancient people from the South, long ago silenced, have gained attention and visibility since the constitutional processes of countries like Equator (2008) and Bolivia (2009). This article aims to analyze how the concept of Well Living proposed by these constitutional processes, can be assumed as an alternative of development, capable of a more community construction of life, in opposition to the Western traditional definitions of development. It will be taking into account the deductible method and two techniques – bibliographic and documental. Its propose a critical review of the studies of the world-wide hegemonic development model – understood exclusively as economic growth at the expenses of the subordination of the so called developing countries to accept it as global. Thus, its propose an articulation of some already established concepts in fields such as economy, social studies, ecology and law, with the historical process that ultimately caused the global climate crisis as well as a general crisis in the economic, social, political and cultural areas.. This article proposes the conclusion that Well Living is the affirmation of the rights of nature, derived from the wisdom of ancient American peoples that, when taken into account in the Constitution of Equator and Bolivia, become a path to be constructed that aims to find alternatives to the Western traditional development model for it unleashes the counterpoint, the other way, to overcome capitalism, and the redefinition of life on Earth.
