Number of deaths in the first and last weeks of the month, in the municipality of Acatic, Jalisco, México in the twentieth century

Popis: | There are normal changes in the ranks of deceased, which increase on weekends. The total number of deaths in Acatic, Jalisco, Mexico in the twentieth century was analyzed; first and last week were used for the analysis as that was found to be the period of sickness. Total number of deaths was 8735 (100%), 22.75% in the first week and 21.35% in the last week. In 1901–1925 there was an increase of 0.62% in the death rate, in 1926–1950 the increase was 1.29%, in 1951–1975 the increase was 2.50%, and in 1976–2000 the increase was 3.55%. All the ranks and periods showed the same tendency, except one, 18- to 65-years old during the years 1901–1925 it was 0.49% less, that corresponding to the Mexican Revolution. Each sickness has different incidence range during the end of the month, cancer and hepatic problems showed a positive trend and violent deaths with negative tendency. The factors of death and the tendencies change during the century. |
