The population of this descriptive and correlational study consisted of 302 students who studying in the last year of a nursing faculty in Istanbul in the fall semester of the 2017-2018 academic year. The sample of the study consisted of 159 students who were at the school at the time of data collection and voluntarily accepted to participate in the study. “Information Form” and “Children’s Rights Attitude Scale (CRAS)” were used to collect data. Descriptive methods, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis test and Pearson Correlation test were used for analysis. The distribution of the answers given by the students to the items in the CRAS was generally in the options I completely agree and agree, and in the reverse items, it was seen that there was I totally disagree and disagree options. The students’ CRAS scores were high (66-110), with a mean of 104.77±6.2. No statistically significant correlation was found between the socio-demographic characteristics of the students and their education about children's rights and the mean score of CRAS (p>0.05). In our study, it was seen that students have a positive attitude towards children's rights and their socio-demographic characteristics do not affect their attitudes. It may be suggested to conduct other studies with larger sample groups for the purpose of determine the attitudes of nurse candidates geared toward children’s rights.
